CinemaNow Media Manager is a download manager/video player for Windows. It only works with the CinemaNow service, which basically allows you to rent or download movies from its website. When you either rent or download a movie, the application will function as a download manager. When the video is downloaded, CinemaNow Media Manager works as a player for the movie.
The graphical user interface is divided into three tabs: Now Playing, My Library and Download Queue. All the movies that you own go to My Library, where you can play them. The player part of the application leaves a bit to be desired. It is rather basic, only with controls to pause, fast forward, rewind and stop, and the usual volume controls. There is one nice feature with this player/download manager combo, though. When you start downloading a movie, you can start watching it in less than a minute. This is mainly because the player can talk to the download manager and tell it what to download first. I don't see any information about whether this supports subtitles or not. And there is no free content to try video playback on either.
- It supports HD playback
- Incorporated media manager and download manager
- No free content
